Lee Carsley, who is the current interim manager of the national team of England, has recently asserted that he will not be applying for the post of the permanent manager of the team. Carsley also stressed that he has never submitted an official application for the position of a permanent England‘s manager.
The first one is his present position as the Under-21 coach; to some extent, he shows his contentment by saying, “I am really happy with my job.” On the other hand, taking up the interim role was another milestone in the life of Carsley, and he admitted that this is the proudest moment in his entire career. He highlighted the opportunity to work with the senior team, even if only temporarily.
Lee Carsley reaffirmed his endorsement of the Under-21s, saying in effect that he wants to resume coaching this team once his interim duties are over. He wants to keep shaping the youth players he has been preparing and disciplining for the future.
After the team’s poor performance in the single match against Greece, where the team was defeated 2-1, there were questions raised about whether Carsley was suitable for the role of making strategic decisions on the team selection. He agreed to this criticism but insisted that he aimed at doing his utmost while in charge.
It also shows that Lee Carsley was intent on eradicating any chances of being considered for the post of permanent England manager position due to his allegiance and work to the current position, as well as nurturing the young talents category. Hence, as the national team plans for future matches, his results are optimized in the meantime.
