Among the two, the right back is the one most likely to come back, as Barcelona has already agreed to sell their Brazilian right-back, Araújo, to Bournemouth.

Barcelona are now prepared to re-sign him, despite his average season in 2023-24 and his position already being filled by Koundé, who is now the club’s first choice. A loan offer worth €7m has been sent to Man City, with a buy clause worth €20m added. However, the reigning Premier League champions are not prepared to consider anything other than a permanent deal, meaning that the two clubs have yet to agree on terms.
