Jack Grealish found himself at the centre of an emotional exchange with Manchester City fans during Oasis’ highly anticipated reunion concert at Heaton Park — a moment that comes amid swirling speculation over his future at the Etihad.
The England international, who appeared to be in high spirits and possibly intoxicated, was seen chatting with a group of City supporters at the concert. Grealish passionately declared his love for both the club and its fans, calling them “the best in the world.”
“I love City more than anything!” he said. “And do you know what I love more than anything? City fans! They’re the best fans in the world!”
Despite the warm sentiment, Grealish’s future with the Premier League champions remains uncertain. After falling down the pecking order under Pep Guardiola during the 2024–25 season — with the manager himself also present at the event — the 28-year-old has been heavily linked with a potential summer exit.
Manchester City are reportedly open to offloading Grealish, even if it means accepting a significant loss on their £100 million ($137m) investment from 2021. Recent reports suggest that an offer in the region of £40 million ($55m) could be enough to trigger a sale.
While Grealish’s heartfelt words to supporters suggest he still holds strong affection for the club, his future may soon lie elsewhere as City reshape their squad for the new campaign.
