Luis Suarez Goal: A Masterclass Performance as Inter Miami Cruise to Victory

Luis Suarez  inspired first six minutes proved to be the decisive factor as Inter Miami comfortably defeated Cincinnati 2-0, extending their lead at the top of the table to eight points. Despite having 10 men for most of the contest, Miami’s defense held strong, keeping the visitors relatively quiet. Cincinnati failed to capitalize on their chances, finishing with an expected goals (xG) score of 1.69 but no goals to show for it.

Meanwhile, Miami demonstrated clinical finishing, securing the win with just 0.39 xG and five shots on goal – their lowest total in a single MLS match this season – and 43% possession. Luis Suarez’s two-goal performance has now secured Inter Miami a spot in the 2024 MLS Cup Playoffs.
