Manchester United are reportedly making a bold move to sign Real Madrid star Aurélien Tchouaméni this summer, with journalist Eduardo Inda claiming the Premier League club have submitted a €90 million bid for the French midfielder.
Speaking on El Chiringuito, Inda revealed that the Red Devils are serious about bringing the 25-year-old to Old Trafford, despite his key role under new Real Madrid head coach Xabi Alonso.
Tchouaméni has been a regular fixture in Madrid’s midfield since joining from AS Monaco in 2022 and recently impressed at the FIFA Club World Cup.
“An offer has arrived from Manchester United for a player that Xabi Alonso is loving and whose name is Aurélien Tchouaméni. The Real Madrid coach believes that he can be much better. He is doing very well at the Club World Cup. They (United) have offered €90 million,” said Inda.
The French international, who has already won La Liga and the UEFA Champions League with Los Blancos, could be a key addition to Ruben Amorim’s rebuilding project at United. His versatility—capable of playing as a holding midfielder or dropping into defence—makes him a highly valuable asset.
However, according to Defensa Central, Real Madrid have no intention of letting Tchouaméni leave. The report states that Alonso is very pleased with the player’s development and versatility and views him as a crucial part of his plans moving forward.
With Madrid reluctant to sell and United willing to spend big, the situation remains one to watch as the summer transfer window unfolds.
