Ranked: Real Madrid’s Top 10 Players of the 2024–25 Season

Real Madrid’s season didn’t go as planned. Despite winning the FIFA Club World Cup and the UEFA Super Cup at the very start of the campaign, the 2024/25 season ended on a disappointing note. The club lost two major trophies to their rivals and was eliminated by Arsenal in the Champions League.

However, that doesn’t fully define the season. There were still positives to take, with moments of individual brilliance standing out. Those performances are what inspired us to rank the ten standout players of the campaign.

10. Arda Güler

Still only 19, Güler has taken major steps forward this season. With 5 goals and 8 assists to his name, he’s made a strong case for more minutes. His intelligence on the ball and ability to find space between the lines have added something different in tight games.

9. Eduardo Camavinga

Rarely headlines, but always sets the tone. Camavinga has been tireless in midfield, covering ground, breaking up play, and keeping the ball moving. Not flashy, just essential. Two goals and two assists, countless recoveries, and the kind of discipline managers build systems around.

8. Thibaut Courtois

Despite his injuries in recent years, he remains one of the best goalkeepers in the world. He always returns as if he was never away. This season, he recorded fifteen clean sheets across all competitions and produced several game-saving stops in crucial moments. His presence alone lifts the backline and makes him a true leader in goal.

7. Luka Modrić

His final season with the club, after so many unforgettable memories. The veteran simply won’t fade. Modrić turned 39 during the season, yet he still dictated the tempo whenever he featured. Four goals, and nine assists, and countless moments of composure under pressure. Not just a player, an institution.

6. Aurélien Tchouaméni

Quietly crucial. His defensive work has allowed others to shine. He has played at centre-back more often this season due to injuries in the squad, and he never complained. He reads the game better than most, makes the right tackles, and keeps things simple. Whether playing as a number 6 or filling in at centre-back, he never looked out of place.

5. Rodrygo

Fourteen goals, several of them in big games. Rodrygo continues to develop into a more complete forward. He did not enjoy this season despite a strong start to 2025. He is also one of the top players who could leave next season.

4. Federico Valverde

Played more minutes than anyone in the squad; and for good reason. Valverde doesn’t stop running, presses with intelligence, and chips in with goals (9 this season and 8 assists). Has become one of the most complete midfielders in Europe.

3. Jude Bellingham

Madrid needed someone to take control in midfield — Bellingham stepped in like he’s been here for years. Fourteen goals and Fourtee assists, relentless pressing, and leadership well beyond his age. The complete midfielder, and only getting better.

2. Vinícius Júnior

Twenty-one goals, countless defenders beaten, and still the most explosive left winger in world football. Despite a disappointing season, his understanding with Mbappé remains solid and is expected to improve further in the coming years.

1. Kylian Mbappé

Signed to deliver, and delivered everything. Forty-three goals in all competitions, including 31 in the league. Mbappé hasn’t just scored, he’s dominated matches. In transition, in tight spaces, in front of goal, he’s been unstoppable.
