Rayan Cherki Confirms Manchester City Move Is “Getting Done” After Spain vs France Thriller

After making his senior debut for France in a dramatic 5-4 loss to Spain in the UEFA Nations League semi-finals on Thursday where he scored and assist in his first 33 mins with the France national team, Cherki spoke to Telefoot and addressed his move to Manchester City.
“Yes… it’s getting done,” Cherki said. “But you already know my answer — everybody knows.
But there’s still a game to play. Now we have to enjoy and give everything, but after, it will be done.”
Cherki was outstanding off the bench, contributing with a goal, an assist, and playing a key role in another goal as France mounted a late comeback from being 4-0 and 5-1 down.
Man City’s Summer Business
The Lyon attacking midfielder, known for his flair and creativity, has long been admired by City scouts. Renowned transfer expert Fabrizio Romano earlier reported that personal terms were already agreed between Manchester City and Cherki.
If confirmed, Cherki would join Reijnders and Ait-Nouri as part of a dynamic trio of signings aimed at reinforcing Pep Guardiola’s squad for the 2025/26 season.
