Watch: something strange happened during a match in Tanzania.

A football match in Tanzania was unexpectedly halted this week after a swarm of bees invaded the pitch. The game, between City FC Abuja and JKU FC at Kwaraa Stadium in Babati, descended into chaos as players from both teams quickly dropped to the ground to avoid being stung. Match officials, coaching staff, and even the camera crew were also seen taking cover.

Surprisingly, fans inside the stands remained seated throughout the incident. According to talkSPORT, local outfit Afrizum suggested that unusual weather patterns in the region may have triggered the bees’ presence. Fortunately, the swarm eventually dispersed—helped by the calm reactions of those on the field—and play was able to continue.
