Bayer Leverkusen youngster and one of the best players in the world right now, Florian Wirtz, has revealed his favourite footballer.
In a video that surfaced online, the youngster was asked in German about his favourite footballer. He said,
“My favorite athlete was a football player, because I always enjoyed football. It was Lionel Messi.”
Florian Wirtz scored 18 goals and provided 20 assists for Leverkusen this season. Additionally, he helped the team go unbeaten in the Bundesliga and win the German Cup, making it two trophies for the season.
The player is currently with the German national team in the Euro 2024 tournament, where he’s been one of the best young players so far.
